Blog Purpose
Hello, my name is Alexia Wong. I am a first year university student attending Waterloo University in the GBDA program (Global Business and Digital Arts). In this blog you will be able to learn about the new things I am currently learning in my GBDA classes, as well as how I relate them to my everyday life. This year I will be going through many different obstacles and life lessons, and this is where I will be documenting them.
Academic Past
I live in Toronto Ontario, and attended R.H. King Academy, and graduated with a Gold K certificate (Average 85% of above). In elementary school I had struggled with my academics and had earned an IEP for math and english. As time went by I matured and grew out of my IEP. Now I am a strong academic student that knows how to work hard and push myself to new boundaries.
Personal Life
I live with my parents and sister in Toronto Ontario, but currently I am living on residence at Waterloo. I am 17 years old, and my birthday is December 13th. I have donated my hair three times in my life, in grade 3,grade 7, and grade 10. My Uncle Robert works at Google and had introduced me to the world of digital arts since I was 10 learning how to make simple games from scratch. Then in grade 7 he had begun to teach me the basics of photography with aperture, shutter speed, and exposure. Whereas my Uncle Haung had introduced me to the humanities organizations. I am now a contributor to Kiva. Kiva is an organization which allows people to loan money to others in third world countries without interest. Any money that I am not currently using is on the Kiva site being lent out to people I have chosen.
